Change Your Sprinkler Timer… or else.

In Orange County you have some strict water regulations. It doesn’t matter if you have county, city, reclaimed, or even a well. Everyone has strict water restrictions.
These are meant to protect the limited amount of water that we have in our aquifers and protect the ecosystem.

March 8- Nov 1 (daylight savings time): Twice per week

Nov 2- March 7 (eastern standard time): Once per week

What days?

Even numbered homes:

Twice per week: Thurs and Sun

Once per week: Sun

Odd numbered homes:

Twice per week: Wed and Sat

Once per week: Sun

Times:

Do not water between 10am and 4pm any time of year. It’s just wasteful.

Exceptions:

You can still water new sod and seeds for 30 days as needed but you need to submit a receipt to your water company to allow it. Good news though! They will also save you money by only charging you for the same amount they’ve charged you in previous months!

Fines:

You will be warned once, but subsequent violations will be $25 fines. If you don’t pay they’ll just be added to your water bill.

I’ve seen these guys looking for violators as early at 1 or 2 am. (And for the health of your grass don’t water before 4am to stop fungus.)

Sprinkler timers are some of the most needlessly complicated computers we have in this century. Ask us to help you set your timer.
